As our first offering from Burundi, this coffee provides a vibrant acidity with a balancing sweetness. Beyond the notes of lemon tea and dried fruit, this coffee includes an additional layer of complexity with subtle, pleasant notes of licorice.

Cultivated by the coffee farming community in Ngozi Province at approximately 1800 MASL, this coffee is comprised of numerous micro-lots brought in by different farmers. As a fully washed lot, this coffee is pulped immediately, submerged in water to degrade the mucilage and detect defects through flotation, and rinsed one final time to fully remove the mucilage from the seed. The lot is then placed on a raised bed to dry in the sun for approximately 30 days until an optimal moisture content is achieved.
